The purpose of CAA is to foster and encourage interest and participation in recreational athletics in NW St Johns County with primary emphasis on youth sports league play in our area, including the purchase of necessary equipment, the purchase, lease or rental of fields & facilities and to do all other matters pertinent and appropriate to such purpose. Furthermore, CAA’s purpose is to educate, teach and train members in athletics, sportsmanship and fair play, and to do all things necessary for this purpose. As part of its dedication to our local youth athletes, CAA proudly offers CAA Conditioning Camps designed to safely enrich athletic performance no matter what CAA or school sport your child participates in and is open to boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 14 living in or near NW St Johns County. Our Conditioning Camp introduces and reinforces common training techniques for all ages through the use of plyometrics, speed and agility, resistance, and strength training.
CAA’s Youth Summer Speed/Condition Camp includes (3) one-hour training days per week (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday) for six weeks. Participants age 6-10 will use natural body weight, small medicine balls, and speed/resistance cords during single joint exercise. Participants age 11-14 will work with small weights, sleds, and speed/resistance bands in multi-joint exercises. Attendance is not mandatory for every session, but is strongly suggested.
